Max Schmid, born in 1945 in Winterthur, Switzerland, has been a freelance photographer specializing in nature and landscape since 1985. His works on countries such as New Zealand, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, North America and many more worldwide have earned him international renown as a photographer. He has created numerous photo essays for publications such as Geo, Iceland Review, Naturfoto, Schweizer Familie and others and has published multiple picture books with different publishers. Max Schmid lives in Switzerland.
